Tony Tobin @ The Dining Room

Tony Tobin started to forge the reputation of The Dining Room in Reigate, Surrey, from the day in 1993 when he joined as Head Chef. Drawing on his years of experience with Nico Ladenis in central London, Tony has helped to establish the restaurant as one of Surrey's finest.

In 2002, Tony became joint owner by joining forces with famous businessman Peter Wood - founder of the insurer esure in Reigate. The move helped to re-vitalise the character and ambience of the restaurant. Today, The Dining Room caters for 80 covers offering great value lunches, a superb set menu and even a classic Sunday Roast.

Tony is well known to viewers of the BBC's Ready Steady Cook having appeared on the show over 300 times since his debut in 1992. The dishes that he brings to The Dining Room imaginatively combine classic ingredients in new styles that help to redefine the 'modern British' genre.

The service and style reflects the character of the Chef Patron himself - personal and attentive, friendly but not over-familiar. All in all, The Dining Room offers many of the gastronomic luxuries of top London restaurants in the gentle, relaxed surroundings of a Surrey market town.

NEXT GOURMET EVENING

Our next Gourmet Evening will be held at The Dining Room on St Valentine's Day Sunday 14th February 2010.
The evening includes a champagne reception, a demonstration of each course by Tony Tobin and then a fabulous five course dinner with a different, carefully-selected wine for each course. February's Gourmet will be a perfect gift to treat your loved one. The evening is £75 per head (excluding service) including the meal, all the wine, water and coffee. £19.50 set menu, 3 courses, served Monday through to Friday evenings and a 2 course lunch for only £12.50. This is a great chance to eat with us for the first time or once again for under £20 per head.
